Історія школи бере свій початок у 1944 році після визволення Підволочищини від німецьких окупантів.Тоді це була семирічна школа,і очолював її Величко Федір Іванлвич. У 1950 році шкла набрала 8-й клас і зареєстрована як качанівська середня У 1953 році відбувся перший випуск Качанівської середньої школи За роки існування у щколі працювало понад 160 учителів. Директорами школи були: Величко Федір Іванович 1944-1946рр Самолін Олександр Петрович 1946-1951рр. Банашко Іван Григорович 1952-1956рр Ватраль Борис Григорович 1957
